Re: Mail pane writing to wrong config file?

If I understand what you've said, you used Server Admin to modify your settings after having manually edited them. The short answer is: don't.
Manual edits are by and large a one-way trip. After that, Server Admin can be used to safely stop or start the service but not edit settings.

Well... I manually edited /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf in order to weight my bayes scores, but that was on the old server, and it worked fine. I then proceeded to use Server Admin to change other settings, and nothing went awry. I don't get why it would only complain after a migration to a new computer...

And I thought editing local.cf was accepted practice, even for GUI administrators.
