Hello,
I'm running 10.4 Server with dhcp service. We're targeting
specific machines in our lab to use this service and blocking out
other machines from gain access to ip addresses. Is there a way
to filter out specific lab machines against mac addresses? Thank
you in advance.

Like Josh pointed out you can use the netboot config in server
admin to do filtering. You can roll your own DHCP server and setup
a simple config file that has the MAC addresses of the hosts you
want in them. Here is a HOW-TO I wrote on setting it up. Just leave
out the DNS/web stuff for the captive portal part.
