Hallo,
sometimes it looks like that in a folder the same file or folder is
there twice. With the same name and pointing to the same folder or being
the same file.
This occurs on clients (Mac OS X 10.4.9 Intel and PPC) accessing the
file or folder via AFP-Sharing through XServe on XRaid, and only on
file names with special characters in it (german umlauts).
This is a sporadic behaviour and not on all clients. Reconnect the
client solves the symptom, but the problem may occur on another folder
shortly or lately. We can't find a pattern except the special chars.
If a clients finder.app sees double file- or folder names, means not
that an other client has the same behaviour.
Server:
OS X Server 10.4.9 (Intel), security patch 2007-004, XRaid 5,4TB
Clients:
OS X 10.4.9 (Intel and PPC), security patch 2007-004
I didn't found a solution searching the web, but that may belong to my
poor english language skills.
Any help would be grateful.
