I tell you the answer and the way to get it:

type:

man ls

then type / (to enter the search) followed by  \+ to get:

files in the directory. If the file or directory has extended security
information, the permissions field printed by the -l option is followed
by a '+' character.


(well, of course I had to scroll back to see the extra two lines above...)

For some reason, same as with the -e option, if you include the trailing slash in the parent directory, the extended attributes, or the +, for an enclose directory do not appear. Maybe someone can tell me why.
