I have a new Xserve with LOM here. I can't connect with Server
Monitor from another computer on the same LAN. It displays forever
that it is "Waiting for response". Other Xserves with the same Mac OS
X Server 10.4.9 work flawlessly. Though those are G5s.
Interestingly, I can connect from localhost all the time. So one
could think, that it is a firewall problem. But no firewall is running.
DNS and reverse DNS works:
# host myserver
myserver.domain.ch has address 1.2.3.4
# host 1.2.3.4
4.3.2.1.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer myserver.domain.ch.
The logs don't give any hint.
I reinstalled the system with no change.
I also can connect to this server from Server Admin.
