Remember to use the Server Admin tools that came with your Xserve on the computer you're using to access the server remotely. The older Server Admin tools may not work with the LOM on Xserve Intel.

This is very valid advice. Server Monitor for the newer Intel Xserves is version 1.5 and is available on the Admin Tools DVD. The older version of Server Monitor will not work with the newer Intel Xserves.

On a related note. During the set up of the newer Intel Xserves, using Server Assistant remotely, there is a step where you are asked to set up the ethernet ports and you are given two ports to set up. I assumed each was for the different physical ports on the back of the Xserve but now I'm thinking that one was for the physical port and the other was for the LOM port. Am I correct because the documentation does not appear to mention this anywhere?
