Re: sftp - sending file to remote machine

To set up your keys, follow the instructions way at the bottom of this page: http://developer.apple.com/internet/opensource/ cvsoverview.html

Once you have the key set up then you can scp the files without a password. Just make sure that you make the key from the terminal, logged in as the user that will be doing the copying.

Hi !

I have a process that runs on a remote server. The end result is
*.gz file

I want to automate sending this file to another server via sftp.

How can I do this so that the server I am sending it to does NOT ask for authentication?

Look into key-based authentication for SSH. I believe there's even a how-to
somewhere on Apple's site (somewhere other than the kbase).
