Intel Xserve and my VGA KVM

Just unboxed and racked my new Intel Xserve with its built in VGA. I
attached it to my kvm, booted it and the display is blank. I used a stand
alone monitor to configure it which works fine. It still is blank when it
boots to the kvm.

Historically with my g5 xserves I have used ard to set my monitors to a
higher hertz like 75 and they work fine with the kvm. I don't have an option
to do this when booted into the kvm monitor. The drop down box to change it
is greyed out.

If I boot it to the stand alone monitor and then switch VGA cables and
attach it to the KVM it displays fine. Its fooled into being at the right
hertz.

How do I force my intel xserve to use a higher hertz rate when it doesn't
want to give me the option to do so?

Thanks,
Adam
