I have been having a problem with a sharepoint on a 10.4.9 server and
10.4.8 clients. The clients are reporting that the user does not have
correct permissions to see the sharepoint even when I have verified
that they do. I have used the effective permissions inspector in WGM
and I have ssh'ed to the machine and browsed the sharepoint directory;
both came back fine. This is occurring at the same time I try to
mount the sharepoint and I get the permissions error. Also, it will
not present the sharepoint to the user when I try to connect to the
server via Go -> Connect to server...
I am only seeing this with one of our sharepoints and it is happening
more and more frequently. I am not seeing any errors related to this
in the AFP logs or the system log. Could file system or disk
corruption cause something like this? What else should I look at?
any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
alex
