the perhaps one badly updated:

and the one update via the updater downloaded with System Update:

md5 /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
MD5 (/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib) = 76b66368531bf1cd6cbe13d0b723bd60

are these md5 significative at all? I just checked two 10.4.8 systems and got two different results...

As can be expected where prebinding occurs.
