Re: No Kerberos after changeip

Quoting Tom Jacobs <email@hidden>:

I have two Xserves, both running 10.4.9. I have "swapped" their
identities including both IP address and name, but when I ran changeip
on the first I typed...

changeip /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 oldip newip oldhost newhost

...but for oldhost (and newhost) instead of typing
"myserver.mydomain.com" I just typed "myserver".

Now Kerberos doesn't work, and I'm thinking it's because of this
mistake. (It worked previously, and my DNS forward and reverse lookups
are correct.) Could this be the problem, and if so, how do I correct
it? When I click Kerberize, it asks for the administrator name and
password but it rejects my entry. According to the manual I must
authenticate "as an administrator of the Open Directory master's LDAP
directory". I realize this is different than the system administrator,
but it's not taking my name and password. Is there a way to verify that
name and password?

Tom

Tom:
I'm not saying I can help you, but I'd suggest reposting without the disguised IP's and FQDN's so that folks can offer help without trying to figure out what exactly you've done.
