Re: Connecting Mail.App to OS X LDAP Server?

Are there any guides on how to setup OS X Mail (and other apps for that matter) to OS X Open Directory? I'd like it to grab the names and email addresses..
I assumed it'd be rather straight forward, but it doesn't appear to be giving any errors or feedback at all. I'm not entirely sure where you specify the search base for Open Directory...

From what you're asking, I think you're actually asking how to tie address book into LDAP, and not Mail. You could specify this in the contact pane of the Directory Services App, or, in Address book preferences, go to the LDAP pane and add an entry here. As a side note, your search base here will be from a different part of the tree to the one used by Directory Services - the following works for me with a standard OS X Server install - cn=users,dc=server,dc=example,dc=com

Cheers,
Andrina
