Thread-topic: Has anyone managed to get Pagesender fax sharing to work ?

Hi everyone
I am attempting to test the fax software PageSender from SmileOnMyMac on a
small network of one OS X Server 10.4.10 box and two 10.4.10 workstations.
Where I got to:
Server receives faxes without issue.
I have shared the pagesender fax queue in server admin on both appletalk and
LPR with bonjour.
workstations can see the pagesender fax queue on the server.
The workstations have pagesender installed, just for the purpose of
installing the fax printer driver, and it seems to work - in the print
dialog box, the options for pagesender appear and I can input the
recipient's fax number.
When I click print it sends the job to the server without any apparent
issues. I can see the incoming job in the log for the queue. But after that
it just disappears and no faxing occurs.
I discussed it with pagesender support and they said they had not tested
their product on OS X Server and didn't know if it would work. all they
could suggest was that i try enabling anonymous bonjour/rendezvous
connections.
is that possible and if so how ?
Has anyone managed to get this scenario working ? If so I would really
appreciate any tips you could spare.
Otherwise my next stop is 4sightfax.
ps: yes I know about the hack to OS Server to get it to share its fax modem.
We have trialled that and it receives fine but sending is flakey. Sometimes
changing a setting for other printers seems to stop outgoing faxes and we
can't resume them without doing the hack again.
