Re: PHP5 ODBC Fails in Leopard

I can connect to the ODBC through the command line. Its when the request going through Apache that it fails. I previously was running php 5.1.2 from Entropy. I tried forcing apache to use the lib files but it wouldn't load. I figured it was coz the Apache was a UB and I had to thin it.

I think its an Apache issue coz I found this open bug on php http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=31678 . There is also a discussion on entropy that shows how to thin the Apache to ppc here http://www.entropy.ch/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=10814#10814 . I am yet to try this.

I cannot get the 5.2.4 version of php from entropy to install, it fails while running some postflight script.

Any thoughts.....

Hi Avinash;

Hi, I just upgraded my test machine to Leopard. I previously had PHP 5.2.2 that I downloaded from entropy with Apache 1.3. In Leopard I have Apache 2.2.6 and PHP 5.2.4, I got PHP to work with my library but the ODBC connection fails.
I can connect to my SQL Db through the CLI but any requests going through Apache fail.
Can you connect to the database using php from the command line?

Why not download entropy's php again?

I am using ODBC connectors from Actual Technologies
(I have contacted them too). Any suggestions.
