Re: AFP POSIX Settings missing frm Server Admin?

OK I must be missing something.

Mac OS X Server v10.5.4

"File Service Administration for Version 10.5 Leopard"
downloaded about 2 weeks ago.

To change the settings of an AFP share point:

Step 10 discusses how to change POSIX to inherit.

But there nothing in the Server Admin program on this pane about POSIX permissions. The SMB pane has it but not AFP.

Did Apple remove this choice and just not update the doc?

Looks like to be the case, as implied by: <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1283> The rationale seems a bit strange, at least as explained there...

That said, it seems that the AppleFileServer daemon still knows about the "afp_use_parent_privs" key; perhaps could you try by manually adding it to the mount point definition?
Very cautiously, of course... ;-)
