Not to be too paranoid, but I don't generally just install .pkg files
people send me over the Internet. What's in the package?

That's fair. This package install a bash script in /etc/periodic/
weekly/. It also copy the config file in /etc/ and a symlink in /bin/
for you to execute it manually.
The script does the usual sequence of serveradmin 'set' commands, in
addition it lets you rotate archives, save individual services
settings, optionally copy the whole stuff to another local disk or to
a network volume. The read me is enclosed.
