Hello, With OS X Server v10.4.x, I could create user accounts for FTP users, specify where I wanted their home directories, and it would create just that home directory. As an example, the location for the home directories is /Volumes/File_Storage/ftp/. So if I wanted to create a user named slavin, in WGM I would choose /File_Storage/ftp as the location of the home directory, and only the /slavin (~, or home) directory would be created. With OS X Server v10.5.x, I can do this, but I get an unwanted folder as well. If I were to create an account for user slavin, and specified /File_Storage/ftp as the location of the home directory, WGM (or some other process?) will create the /slavin (~, or home) directory. It will also put a Library directory within /slavin. I do not want, or need, that Library directory. What's worse, it appears that restarting the server (necessary for reasons beyond the scope of this thread) will result in the Library directory being recreated after I have deleted it. Does anyone know how to make OS X Server v10.5.x NOT create a Library directory within a user's home directory? Thanks for reading! -Jonathan |
