Folder redirection (aka, offline folders)

Title: Folder redirection (aka, offline folders)
All,

I have an 10.5.4 server bound to an AD Server (2003 Server).  Authentication and the reading of GPO's work great (thanks to this great AFP548.com).

I can't set up portable directories because that amount of network traffic is prohibited in the environment.  I can't have the AD schema extended (though I have vehemently begged), so unc paths can't be set up.

I read on afp548.com that there is a folder redirection tool in that you can import in WGM preferences details.  Using this tool, is it possible to set up a designated folder that will 1. Sync to a server for back up and 2. be able to be viewed offline.

Is this possible?

Any help  would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
