It seems you should have made this assessment before getting involved with any vendor's operating system.


Personally, I prefer the hybrid approach: use whatever is necessary to increase productivity. If Apple supplies it and maintains it to my requirements, then I'll use it, otherwise, I'll build it myself.

I also don't think that the Linux side is a panacea.
