Deleted root user folder

Newbie mistake here...

While cleaning up old user folders, I somehow deleted the home folder for the main admin user. Everything on the server runs fine, but I noticed some differences when running some apps like Safari and mail.

How bad is this? Should I just create a new admin user with all the same privileges and reboot? Can I recreate the user folder somehow?
