Re: Trouble with Server Monitor Light

I'm having some issues with the LOM interface on one of my Xservs. After
taking the top cover off to do some cleaning, the intrusion alarm was

steal my server! I've looked high and low over in the discussion forums and
the xserv docs but I cannot find a way to actual reset the alarm.

Thanks,

The sensor is along the front face where the cover butts up to the rest of the case. The DVD drive end of the unit.
I forget exactly what it is now, proximity sensor, magnet, circuit etc, but I know it is easy to fool if need-be.
Of course these units are not designed to run with the lid off, and cooling will be dramatically affected unless your external cooling is extremely good.

The issue may be with the message not being marked as sent, and so being repeatedly retried. If the lid is back on, and the indicator light is off (to show no warning), then investigate the mail side.
