Yes, but then the process must be already running so you cannot get the
run from beginning to end. (But I've played with it some and can get
what I want running it in everything mode.)

In the main Shark window if you select <Time Profile> <Process> you can then select the "Launch..." menu item (it is the first item in the menu). This lets you launch any executable, including command- line applications, and it will only profile that application from start to finish.


Shark is by far the best and easiest profiler I've ever used. It has a lot of very advanced features that can take some time to learn and are extremely useful. For the beginner though it couldn't be easier to do a time profile. And for the advanced user it offers a lot of great features and control. If you take some time to learn how to use it it will become an indispensable tool.
