I have the same problem trying to profile a Fortran program using
Saturn with both Absoft or XLF compliers. I have compiled with -g and
the correct profile flag (-P for Absoft and -pg for XLF). In both
cases the routine names are NOT given but I see only hex. When I run
the same executables with Shark (w/ or w/o the profile flags) I see the
routine names. Is there some environmental variables I need to set to
get Saturn to display the routine names? I'm using the Saturn Launch
command to open the executable file drectly (i.e., its not in a Mac
style app folder).
Also, if I use gprof to look at the gmon.out file produced by the
Saturn run I do indeed see the routine names. But alas the times are
not given due to the gprof bug.
Bob
ps I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.6 and Xcode 2.1
