Sir:
I'm a software programmer, now I'm developing a printer driver under Max OS X. I have decided to use CUPS to develop this driver. And my printer is used to print label used in supermarket, so it's a dot-matrix printer. Now I think I should write a PPD file and a RIP filter to finish this driver.
My printer is not a PostScript printer, and I want to create some custom pane for Page Setup and Print Dialog, but CUPS can't do this ,isn't it? so should I write a printing dialog extension from Carbon or Cocoa application? And how does the printing plug-ins of printing dialog extensions work with CUPS? And is there other methods to create custom Print Dialog use CUPS itself?
If you have some experience in CUPS or know some useful information somewhere , could you tell me?
