Hi Paul,

I was able to create the printer queue only by defining kPMPPDNameKey
as "PPD" in my code in 10.1 (and it being defined as
"com.apple.print.PrinterInfo.PPD" in 10.2). Please confirm if it is
the correct key definition to use to add the PPD file location.

Thanks,
Subhajit

Subhajit,

John's answer is correct. If you are building your PBM with an older
version of the development tools, you may have to #define kPMPPDNameKey
in your code. And yes, on 10.1 the Generic PPD is located in
/System/Library/Printers/PMs/PSPM.plugin/Contents/Resources/ xxx.lproj/.

Hi,

I am writing a custom PBM in 10.1 for a PostScript Printer. I am able
to create the printer queue by providing the PPD URL against the
"PPD"
key in the printer address dictionary but I could not find any
#define
defining this key in any of the header files. Is this key available
in
any of the header files ?
Also which is the "correct" Generic.ppd file to pick up in 10.1 as I
could not find the Generic.ppd file in PrintCore.framework as in
10.2.
Is the one in PSPM.plugin the correct Generic PPD file to use ?

Thanks in advance,
Subhajit Roy
