LDAP services

hi all,

I have configured my 10.3 client LDAP v3 service to tap on our
existing AD server that is hosting all the users profiles in our
school..

Can someone enlighten me on how can I 'invoke' the login dialog window
with the username, password and domain during startup on the Mac client.

Is it necessary to configure the 'Active Directory' service in the
Directory Access
application?
