Re: Printing with lp command Question

Gohaku,

Have you tried lpoptions? Use lpoptions -l to get your printer's PPD-based options. Then lpoptions -o to change settings. The answer is PPD-dependent.

Hi everyone,
I have noticed that when I print a document with lp, the process is much faster than printing from a program like Adobe Acrobat. However, using lp always produces color pages instead of pages using black ink only.
I have specified in my Printer's Default Settings to always print with Black ink and with High Speed.
How do I change the settings the lp command uses?
Thank you.
