Long detect when install in Panther

Hi Paul!

I installed Tioga driver in Panther and click the Print Setup Utility and then click add button.
In that time, "Driver not installed" message is displayed for long time(about 10~15 seconds)
Of cource, after "New Printer Driver detected" message is appeared, it works well.,,,
If I delete the additional drivers(HP, CANON...) in Panther, we can find our driver fastly(about 2seconds).

Is this correct operation? / Otherwise Is there any solution?

Test PC : iMac G4 700MHz
256MB
3G free HDD
