It works well. I think you just have to make the filter path in
your PPD point all the way inside the bundle to the executable
itself. It does make life a lot easier for localization and whatnot.
Actually, I would recommend creating a symlink from
/usr/libexec/cups/filter to the bundle instead - that way you can
relocate the bundle as needed.
