On the filter side, I'd like to put the Filter in a bundle so error strings can be localized using genstrings/ CFCopyLocalizedString. Do filters in bundles work ok?

From a recent post...

I am creating a CUPS filter (driver) and was wondering if I should format

Has anyone taken this approach to making a CUPS driver, and if so, how did
it go?

It works well. I think you just have to make the filter path in your PPD point all the way inside the bundle to the executable itself. It does make life a lot easier for localization and whatnot.

Actually, I would recommend creating a symlink from /usr/libexec/cups/filter to the bundle instead - that way you can relocate the bundle as needed.
