Postscript pass through to printer

Hello,

I am sure this question has been asked many times in many different ways but here it goes. I would like to send Postscript files, actually any file of any type, to a printer and not necessarily a Postscript printer using code written in C for Carbon. I was wondering if there is a way to "pass the file through" to the printer without using the traditional printing loop described by Apple. I have read about using PMPrinterPrintWithFile but I have no documentation on this routine and I would like the code to work on 10.2x and 10.3x as well.

Any help and/or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Alex Kettner
