Login to CUPS-Server

Hi,

we asked this question for Panther, maybe this would work now in Tiger:

Our Macs with OS X 3.x have to work as CUPS-Client (CUPS-Server adress
in Client.conf)
In the Unix-Shell it works fine, lpstat -p or lp -d... is possible
after entering our user-account.
The app. PrintCenter couldn't see the printer-queues of the server,
becouse its impossible
to transmit the user-account to the server. When I open the
console.log and than the PrintCenter,
I can see, the PrintCenter trys to connect to the server, and I can
see the order to enter my passwd,
but there is no loginwindow to enter my passwd.
It works fine, when the server has an anonymous-account, but we need
the user-account.
What can I do to transmit the user-account to the print-server?

Thanks for help,

Holger Bartels
