Re: How to get PDF stream

Mike,

What I would like to have input to my filter is the PDF data stream not PS stream (pdftops) filter not used when the user press the "Print" on the Print Dialog.

If I use the "*cupsFilter: "application/pdf 0 myFilter" in my PPD, does the convertion from PDF to PS filter (pdftops) is not used?

Does the PDF stream is passed in one of the argv[] when the user presss the "Print" button? I saw the argv[6] has a reference to a /private directory.

Thanks!

mwu

You are probably getting the PDF filename on the command-line.

All filters must support input from both the command-line and stdin.
