Re: How to get PDF stream

Mike,

What I would like to have input to my filter is the PDF data stream not PS stream (pdftops) filter not used when the user press the "Print" on the Print Dialog.

If I use the "*cupsFilter: "application/pdf 0 myFilter" in my PPD, does the convertion from PDF to PS filter (pdftops) is not used?

The conversion is not used since the print data is already in the PDF format.

Does the PDF stream is passed in one of the argv[] when the user presss the "Print" button? I saw the argv[6] has a reference to a /private directory.

Correct, argv[6] is the (PDF) print file.
