Re: renaming classes

I don't mean to pick the scab off of this thread, but why not file a bug report anyway? I can conceive of many times when changing the case of a filename would be legitimate. "mv" allows this behavior on HFS, why can't the flagship Application for Apple developers?

this isn't so much a bug in PB, rather than just HFS behaviour.

Thanks for everyone's help. I will not file a bug report.

I understand now the HFS+ is case-insensitive but is case-preserving. I was a little confused because I'm able to rename files in the Finder (10.2.6) for case sensitive changes only. This is different from what The Amazing Llama said: "In PB as in Finder, changing a file from 'foo.txt' to 'Foo.txt' yields an error".

The problem is resolved for me. I was able to rename my classes.
