Thanks, that does look like a possibility. I haven't quite figured it out_______________________________________________
yet of course.
Sure would be nice if there was an easy way to query what the current
setting for the dylib is. I've been unable to find a way to do so. I've
also been reading the docs for the ld tool, which is an exercise in
complexity.

You might be able to get this to work with install_name_tool. See the
