dual screen cropped output

can anyone point to any existing sample code or at least advice on where to start looking for the following:

I want to render a QC comp once, display the result full screen on the main display and a cropped portion of the result full screen on the second display.

From what I understand I will have to create use one QCRenderer and then use lower level OpenGL contexts in order to crop a section and send it to the second display.

really just after a direction in where to start looking, I don't think any of the existing Apple sample code does anything quite like this.
