Quartz Composer is so easy to figure out without reading documentation! Now
that I have read about Quartz Composer and QuickTime movies, I understand
the behavior. I see that my expectation of a movie is "twentieth century". I
was expecting frames to be archived during export for later playback. I now
understand that the movie file is a repackaged quartz composition running
live when the user clicks play.
BTW, I was not expecting a colored rectangle when you open the window; the
rectangle is what happens. The rectangle changes to live input when the user
clicks play. I take it that this is also normal behavior.
Thank you for your prompt response and for Quartz Composer. Quartz Composer
is awesome!!
