Trouble With MIDI Notes/Controllers Patches

Hi, I was an early adopter of Pixelshox and am excited to develop with Quartz Composer. Things are working great, except I've been having trouble getting values from the MIDI Controller and Notes patches. I went through a number of steps to ensure I had the correct device, ports, channels, and controllers selected. However, I keep getting a value of zero from the outputs of each of these patches.

I'm familiar with using MIDI devices in the original Pixelshox, and am able to use my Oxygen 8 Keyboard and Evolution X-Session with other MIDI-enabled applications (ie Max/MSP and Ableton Live).

Here's the steps I took to test so far:
1. Tested keyboard with Max/MSP, it works.
2. Restarted Quartz Composer with an empty composition.
3. Dropped in "MIDI Controllers" patch and opened its Inspector Settings.
4. Enabled my MIDI Controller with a checkbox and checked channels 1 & 2 so they are white and not grey.
5. Additionally Enabled Knobs 10 and 74, which were observed working inputs in Max/MSP.
6. Followed the similar above steps with the MIDI Notes patch but yielded the same unfortunate results, no data seems to be coming in.

Is it possible that I'm selecting the wrong controller/knob input? Is there some kind of data type issue I'm unaware of? Or something else altogether?
