Well, you were right! I'm glad it was user error and not the software. I would propose that the active channels be a more standard aqua-blue color instead of grey, to make it more obvious. Seeing as how you have to step through and directly enable other MIDI settings, it seems like you have to enable your desired channel as well.

it's the contrary: gray means selected and white not selected :)
