Re: Image with String weirdness

You might try that font in illustrator or some such program and play with the text boxes, it could just be a font that goes outside of the font boundaries. In Illustrator, when you type with that font, the text will go outside of the normally blue selection box. Some programs don't deal well with fonts like that. I've had issues with final cut and fonts like that before, which could mean the two programs use a common method for drawing the fonts.

i've noticed that, with certain fonts, the Image with String generator cuts off part of the first (left-most) character. so i've worked around that by just adding a leading space. however, i just recently downloaded a new TTF font and the top 10% (roughly) of the text is cut-off and i haven't yet found a simple workaround.

has anyone experienced these problems? any ideas for a workaround?

Can you reproduce this problem using a system provided font? If yes, can you build a sample composition that demonstrates the issue? Thanks
