Quartz Composer is growing pretty fast and has several major projects
going on. We are now looking for talented people to join us to work
on that exciting project. Those are full-time jobs, based in
Cupertino, CA, at the Apple headquarters. We have two positions opened:
- Graphics Software Engineer:
Role will be to participate in Quartz Composer software development
(engine, tools...), work with other internal teams to support their
Quartz Composer integration, and build prototypes for use of the
technology. Applicants must have Mac OS X experience, be familiar
with OpenGL APIs, and have a strong ability to learn and use various
graphics & non-graphics technologies. Excellent problem solving,
performance tuning and debugging skills are required. Excellent
knowledge of the C programming language is mandatory. Cocoa and Xcode
knowledge are a strong plus.
- Motion Graphics Artist:
Role will be to produce motion graphics contents with Quartz Composer
for use in the next operating system, provide feedback on the tools
and test the new Quartz Composer features. Applicant must be familiar
with Mac OS X, standard 2D graphics software like PhotoShop or
Illustrator, 3D modeling software like Maya or Cinema 4D, and with
procedural contents based on graph systems (like the one of Quartz
Composer). Applicant must also be able to create contents that fits
the "Apple look". Quartz Composer based contents in the portfolio,
basic knowledge of the graphics subsystem of computers (OpenGL, video
card, vertex and fragment shaders...), and basic programming
knowledge (JavaScript) are a strong plus.
