unfortunately the issue is that most VJ applications that already exist
are not written in Cocoa so it's a case of trying to bolt it on somehow.

just to clarify I mean having two completly seperate compositions and a
host application is bridging texture streams between them on the fly to
build effects chains.  I know how to do this inside one composition already.
