Re: Imported image question



If an imported image is saved with, and travels with, a Composition, how come the file size of the saved comp is smaller than the file size of the image itself?

Image importer only loads from the original image file the image data and puts that into the composition. Extra metadata like thumbnails, icons, EXIF information... is not kept around and is likely the reason why the composition can be smaller than the original image size.

(Still trying to figure out why my comps are "blank" when I send them to others...)

Send one of those privately to me and I'll have a look - I'm intrigued...
