QC lets OpenGL manage textures and swap them in & out VRAM as necessary

Thanks for that, but forgive my ignorance, whats the expected behavior currently if you try and create
a rendering context using more textures than is on the card.

I'm just not sure if I try and render with 32MB of textures on a 16MB card and it renders junk is
that a bug or should it work (very slowly)?
