Actually, I wasn't the original poster. Also, I had already told him that the only official way was to write a plug-in. Since creating a .qtz on his own isn't working, he'll have to play with it until it does, without documentation. And he could also file an enhancement request.
Anyway, as I guess iLive ยด07 is somewhere around the corner, I doubt you'll see anything like that before iMovie 8 even if it's honored.

Being a long-time Mac advocate, I think it SHOULD be done as an end- user enhancement for iMovie. It's certainly not something *I* need at the present time.
