Hi All,
What I really want is to export a .qtz file using the
standard QT export APIs, and have it render a movie
using specified aspect ratio and duration.
HOWEVER, based on my research, the only effective way
to export a qtz file with fixed aspect ratio and
duration is to copy frame-by-frame using [QTMovie
currentFrameImage].
The problem with this approach is I cannot fork into a
separate thread because the technique requires movie
playback (done in main thread).
The QUESTION therefore is how can I export a qtz file
using QuickTime APIs in a threaded manner? Is this
possible?
NOTE: I realize this question has been asked before
(in a variety of ways, I'm sure). There is a definite
USE CASE for this functionality. I don't know how to
do it, but I think a lot of people really want this in
one form or another.
TIA,
JK
