Re: Count Structure Members That Meet A Criteria

Hi!

I'm working on a composition in which I'd like to be able to modify a structure so that it only contains members that are true (1) for a certain key.
So far I've determined that I can use a Structure Range patch to trim the structure to a specific length. By sorting the structure such that the members I want are all at the top I feel I'm close.

Did you consider using a JavaScript patch for all of that? This might be what you are looking for. Remember that you can not only access a structure's items by using an index (like struct[0]), but also using keys (like struct["title"]). Quartz Composer does not distinguish between arrays and dictionaries, but the former works with arrays and dictionaries, while the latter works with dictionaries only (obviously, this is because arrays don't contain keys).

Maybe you could give us an example of how your data looks and how you want it to look like after filtering.

Marco
