Florian,

You don't need an AVI -> MOV file conversion application, as QuickTime can read AVI files. What you appear to require is the Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Decompressor codec, which is not available for QuickTime. There is no conversion application available that will covert a Microsoft MPEG-4 video stream to something that QuickTime can play.
