Don't be so hasty, Adrian. You're correct that you need the MPEG-4
Decompressor available to decompress the stream. If you're talking about
the older MSMPEG4v1 or v2 codecs, those are available for the Macintosh
(both system 9 and X versions) and are obviously available on Windows.

I think we made some modifications in our Windows version of Squeeze that
might be able to help you do this conversion on the PC. If that has
problems for some reason, let me know off list and I'll help you find the
codecs you need on the Mac and then either the Mac version of Squeeze or
QuickTime Player Pro (if you've plunked down the $30 already for it) can
almost certainly do the job. You can get a demo of Squeeze for Flash MX
(it does basic QT encoding, too) at www.sorenson.com.
