I'm using Graphic Importers to extract image data to an offscreen GWorld. When the GWorld is ARGB things seem to work fine, but when I use an RGB GWorld, hell brakes loose, or in other worlds crash.
I tried creating a new GWorld, and wrapping one around a char* buffer using the RGB mode, but it just doesn't work. I've heard of several people having problems with this issue.
Can anyone (how about an apple engineer) explain why RGB buffers give us so much trouble, and we can avoid it?
